Dangerous Goods Services can provide an external dangerous goods safety adviser (DGSA) service in compliance with ADR, or advice under IMDG, either on a contract or an ad-hoc basis, in areas such as classification, compliant packaging design or selection, and labelling and documentation for the transport of dangerous goods, all classes by road or sea.
Dangerous Goods Services provide strategic advice on both GB and EU REACH compliance.
Dangerous Goods Services provide a supply label authoring service for compliance with GB CLP, or audit existing labels against compliance standards.
Dangerous Goods Services provide a contract safety data sheet authoring service in compliance with UK REACH and GB CLP.
Dangerous Goods Services provide strategic advice on both UK and EU BPR compliance, along with assistance with marketing and labelling in compliance with BPR.
Dangerous Goods Services provide strategic advice on both GB and EU compliance, along with assistance with supply labelling in respect of the detergent’s regulations.
Dangerous Goods Services provide a label authoring service in compliance with the Aerosols regulations, or audit existing labels against compliance standards.
Section 1.8.3.3 of ADR 2023 states the following with regard to the tasks of a Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser (DGSA):
“The main task of the adviser shall be, under the responsibility of the head of the undertaking, to seek by all appropriate means and by all appropriate action, within the limits of the relevant activities of that undertaking, to facilitate the conduct of those activities in accordance with the requirements applicable and in the safest possible way. “
With regard to the undertaking’s activities, the adviser has the following duties in particular:
To undertake these tasks all Dangerous Goods Safety Advisors (DGSAs) are required to complete extensive training, and to pass 3 formal, intensive examinations, after which a vocational certificate is issued. This is valid for 5 years before the examinations must be retaken; additional training must be undertaken to advise on maritime shipments of dangerous goods.
